After working in the fashion and music industry for over 25 years I decided to train as a counsellor. My reasons for doing so were that I had gained so much knowledge about individuals, and their daily struggles with life, that I had the potential to really make a difference.

My experience of working in such a high pressured industry gave me real insight into how people deal with stress, anxiety, anger, low self esteem and body dysmorphia. This combined with a natural skill for listening proved to be invaluable throughout my counselling training.

My own experiences of loss and bereavement led me to have a real interest in end of life care and grief counselling. My management skills proved useful in providing counselling and mediation courses to companies experiencing conflict and poor morale. My work has led me to writing articles and training courses, this has expanded my knowledge and understanding of a variety of complex issues.

Having such a varied background has enabled me to work in a non judgemental way with people of all ages, race and sexuality. Cultural difference and diversity is a real interest of mine and I endeavor to make counselling available to anyone regardless of age race or gender.
I set up in private practice in 2010 and continue to counsel individuals in a hospice environment.

Outside of my counselling work I maintain a good life and work balance and enjoy socialising and reading.
